Different Scenarios and issues while creating Characterstics in MPOS for APO Demand Planning.

Introduction and Overview.

What is MPOS in SAP APO DP?
It is like a container which is a pre-requisite for creation of planning area and this MPOS used to store APO masterdata which is called CVCs.It is actually stored in inbuilt BW environment of APO with the infocube associated with it.

The t-code for creating MPOS is /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN.

In this administration screen we provde the charactestics and dimensions for MPOS.

After creating and activating the POS,the next step is that we have different options here to assign the MPOS. For example :SNP Possible(For SNP Purpose) or 'SNP Scheduling Agreemt' purpose.



Scenario 1: Create Chars for DP MPOS using general method.

Go to S&DP Administration. Right Click on 'Plng Object Structures' and Enter the MPOS name.
Select the required charactestics for your MPOS.

  

Add Dimensions for the selected Charactestics.



Now Click on Activate.You can see the details of the MPOS along with created infocube information.
